ALVERA AirStrap™ Replacement Headgear Compatible with AirFit F20 & AirTouch F20 Masks

Alvera AirStrap™ is replacement ResMed AirFit F20 headgear that also fits the AirTouch F20 full face mask, which shares the same frame. It is supplied for sleep services, pharmacies and resellers renewing mask straps.

When to renew AirFit F20 headgear

Headgear stretches gradually with washing, body heat and nightly tension. Users tend to compensate by tightening the straps, which can distort the cushion and cause the leak they were trying to stop. Fitting fresh headgear restores the intended tension, and it costs a fraction of a complete mask.

AirStrap has adjustable straps with tabs, so tension can be set at each point, and soft fabric with padded support at the cheeks and the back of the head. It detaches from the frame and is hand washed separately. It fits directly to an existing F20 or AirTouch F20 frame.

Because the F20 and AirTouch F20 share a frame, one headgear covers both, which keeps fitting-room stock of AirFit F20 headgear simple. It does not fit AirFit F30, F30i or F40 masks, or nasal and pillow masks, all of which use different frames and strap arrangements.

Use and care

• Hand wash weekly in warm water with a mild detergent, squeezing rather than wringing, and air dry away from direct sunlight.
• Where clips are fitted, remove them before washing.
• Where magnetic clips are used, keep them at least 50 mm away from implanted or body-worn medical devices and metallic implants, and ask the responsible clinician if in doubt.
• Renew when the straps no longer hold tension, typically every three to six months.
• Do not use a washing machine, dishwasher, bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, fabric conditioner or scented oils. The mask instructions take precedence.
