About the magnetic CPAP mask clips

This is the one-for-one replacement pack of magnetic CPAP mask clips, two in total, enough to refit a single mask. It is the natural line for pharmacies and retailers serving individual users, and for services replacing a cracked or weakened pair at a mask review rather than issuing a complete new mask.

Each clip uses a magnetic connection that locates itself on the frame, so the mask can be released and refitted without disturbing the strap length set at fitting. The housing is ABS plastic around a magnetic alloy core, and the clips detach from the headgear before it is washed.

Fit is limited to AirFit F20, AirFit F30, AirFit N20, AirTouch F20 and AirTouch N20 headgear. AirFit P10, N30, F30i and F40 use different strap and frame arrangements. The clips contain magnets, so the safety guidance applies to every wearer and bed partner. A four-piece pack is listed separately for spare holding.

Use and care

• Contains magnets: keep the clips, and any mask fitted with them, at least 50 mm from pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, neurostimulators, adjustable shunts, aneurysm clips, metallic stents, cochlear implants, insulin pumps and other ferromagnetic implants. This applies to the wearer, bed partner and anyone handling the mask.
• Do not use magnetic clips where the wearer or a bed partner has any such implant; ask the responsible clinician if in doubt, and read the magnet safety information supplied with the mask.
• Keep away from cards and items sensitive to magnetic fields, and out of reach of children.
• Remove the clips before washing the headgear; wipe with a damp cloth and dry fully before refitting.
• Check the strap slot, housing and magnetic hold weekly and replace clips that crack or weaken. Do not use a dishwasher, bleach, alcohol-based cleaners or scented oils.
