Alvera ThermaAir™ 11 Heated CPAP Tubing for AirSense 11

Alvera ThermaAir 11 is compatible AirSense 11 heated tubing, working with the machine's own climate control and integrated humidifier.

About the AirSense 11 heated tubing

Unheated tubing loses heat along its length, and warm humidified air cools on the way to the mask. The moisture it carries condenses on the tube wall as rainout. ThermaAir 11 has a heating element along the hose, designed to keep the air above its dew point so humidity reaches the mask rather than collecting in the tube.

Temperature is set on the AirSense 11 itself. A single integrated connector at the machine end carries power and air together, and the mask end has a standard 22 mm cuff for nasal, pillow and full face interfaces. The machine must recognise the tube before heating and climate control settings are available.

ThermaAir 11 is AirSense 11 heated tubing and fits that machine only. AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, Lumis and AirMini use different connections; ThermaAir 10 is listed separately for Air 10 machines. Keeping the two platforms as separate coded lines helps staff pick the right tube, and each tube is coded for reordering.

Use and care

• Mains-powered accessory with a heating element: do not immerse the connector end, and do not use a dishwasher or washing machine.
• Wash weekly in warm water with a mild detergent, keeping the connector end clear of the water; rinse and hang to dry away from direct sunlight, and dry fully before use.
• Do not use a tube with a damaged connector, split, kink, crushed section or moisture inside the connector.
• Do not run the tube under bedding or a mattress, do not use an added heat source, and do not cut, modify or extend it.
• Replace at the interval set by the service responsible for care, typically every three to six months. The machine and tube instructions take precedence.
